Abstract

The Surabaya Hajj General Hospital is one of the main reference points for
patients with Covid-19 in East Java province. The need and the addition of isolation rooms is
very important and urgent to limit the space for movement and interaction while the patient is
confirmed positive from the environment. Existing, the zoning of the isolation room is still
mixed with other zones. The research method used is exploring design situations with
descriptive methods through literature analysis and user investigation combined with the
privacy room model. The results of this study are to obtain the formation of an isolation room
pattern based on the level of privacy in order to determine space zoning and space
boundaries so that they do not mix between one zone and another.
