Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of sales growth, asset structure, and free cash flow on the company's debt policy in the food and beverage subsector listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange during the 2019-2021 period. Multiple linear regression analysis methods were used to evaluate data from companies within that subsector during the period. Financial data and annual reports are obtained from the Indonesia Stock Exchange database. The results showed that sales growth had an effect on the company's debt policy, with an increase in sales growth leading to an increase in the company's tendency to use more debt. Asset structure has also been shown to influence debt policy, with a proportion of fixed assets having influence with debt policy. Meanwhile, free cash flow does not have a significant effect on corporate debt policy in the food and beverage subsector studied.
