Abstract
The growth of hotels in the city of Surabaya is increasing, the increasing number of hotels makes the hotel business face a high level of competition, so hotel management must pay attention to assessing the performance of its employees. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of work stress, compensation, and work environment on employee performance at Midtown Residence Hotel Surabaya. This research is quantitative research with data collection techniques through distributing questionnaires. Researchers used the saturated sample technique method. The sample in this study were 53 permanent employees of Midtown Residence Surabaya. This research data was processed using SPSS version 25. The results of data analysis show that all statement items for each variable are declared valid with r count> r table of 0.2706, and all variables are declared reliable with a Cronbach Alpha value> 0.50. The normality test results show normal distribution. Multicollinearity test results show no multicollinearity symptoms. Heteroscedasticity test results show no symptoms of heteroscedasticity. The results of the multiple linear regression equation in this study are Y = 10.294 - 0.134 X1 + 0.034 X2 + 0.357 X3, the contribution of work stress, compensation and work environment to the performance of Midtown Residence Surabaya employees contributes strongly. The t test results show that (1) Job Stress has no effect on Employee Performance with t count -1.335 > -2.010 and significance 0.118 > 0.05, (2) Compensation has no effect on Employee Performance with t count 0.372 < 2.010 and significance 0.712 > 0.05, (3) Work Environment has a significant effect on Employee Performance with t count 7.419 > 2.010 and significance 0.000 < 0.05.
