Abstract

The tourism industry is a business sector that produces products and services for those who travel. Hotels are one part of the tourism industry that provides accommodation services and other products that complement these services. Today, the growth of hotels in Surabaya has increased so that it has become a challenge for hotel managers, with increasing competition in the hotel industry in Surabaya. Midtown Hotel is one of the many hotels in the city of Surabaya located on Jalan Basuki Rahmat no 76 Surabaya which has been operating for 7 years and wants to remain in the hotel industry. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of market orientation (X1) and innovation (X2) on marketing performance (Y). In this study the study population was all operational and non-operational hotel employees totaling 55 people and all were taken, then the sample used was saturated samples. Based on the results of data management using SPSS version 22.0, the adjusted R square results obtained were 0.639 or 63.9%, which means the Market Orientation variable (X1) and Innovation (X2) contributes strongly to Marketing Performance.
