Abstract

Human Resources is the most important thing that is owned by a company/organization, where many techniques and programs can guide companies in utilizing human resources effectively in an effort to achieve company goals. Therefore, companies need good and right management in managing human resources, in achieving maximum performance results, it requires fair and satisfying treatment for all human resources in the company. One such company is the Novotel Samator East Surabaya hotel, located on Jl. Raya Kedung Baruk no 26-28, Kedung Baruk, Surabaya, East Java. This study aims to determine the effect of motivation, leadership and work environment on employee performance at Novotel Samator East Surabaya hotel. The population in this study was 115 employees of the Novotel Samator East Surabaya hotel with a sample of 75 employees. Based on the results of data processing with SPSS version 20.0 that the Validity Test of all statement items can be said to be valid and the motivation variable (X1), leadership (X2), work environment (X3) and employee performance (Y) can be said to be reliable. The Determinant Coefficient test results produce Adjusted R Square of 0.414 or 41.4%, which means that motivation (X1), leadership (X2), and work environment variables are contributing modestly to the employee performance variable. The ttest results showed the motivation variable (X1) = 1.780 <1.994 with a significant level of 0.709> 0.050 which means that motivation does not affect employee performance at Novotel Samator East Surabaya, leadership variable (X2) = 1.222 <1.94 with a significant level 0.226> 0.050, which means that leadership does not affect the performance of employees at Novotel Samator East Surabaya hotel, work environment variable (X3) = 3.361> 1.994 with a significant level of 0.001 <0.050 which means the work environment has a significant effect on employee performance at Novotel Samator Hotel East Surabaya
