Abstract

Occupational health and safety program is one important factor in the study of human resource management, because of health and safety programs will affect the level of worker productivity. This study aims to determine the effect of occupational health and safety program to the level of risk of workplace accidents, and about which is the most influential on the level of potential workplace accidents during the manufacture of machines supporting FeNi smelter designed by the Institute of Technology Surabaya (ITS). The framework of this report is the identification of potential workplace accidents during the manufacture of FeNi smelter support machine and process data obtained by using fishbone diagrams, pairwise comparison, the Delphi approach. To determine the potential for workplace accidents, we need a study by distributing questionnaires. Furthermore, process data from the questionnaire using Microsoft Excel to find out the results of the data that has been obtained. In this stage the data processed includes a variable potential for workplace accidents are divided into four different sections. Then, after processing the data in excel of variables in the test known which variables are very dangerous and not. After that do the categorization of the likelihood level, and then do the data processing using a risk matrix in order to get a definite danger level on each variable potential for workplace accidents by combining the likelihood levels with severity level. The conclusion is in the process of making the machine blower has nine potential work accidents, the pump has 6 potential work accidents, the electricity has 5 potential work accidents, the harmful gases have 5 potential for workplace accidents where at each - each potential workplace accidents classified in the category different - different.
